Complete analysis of your football injury

In the Football Testlab we analyze all aspects of your injury or complaint. Through this analysis, we are able to identify the cause of (persistent) injuries so we have a good indication where an injury comes from and how to properly recover from it. At the end of the analysis, we will provide you with your personal test report including all the test results.

Body composition

Personal factors such as height, weight and posture could influence football injuries. With each step we take, a certain load gets placed on bones, joints, tendons and muscles.

Good mobility in the exercise chain is essential for the human body to play football. Throughout the entire chain, mobility restrictions can affect the appearance of injuries and even influence the recovery.

During football, a lot of stability from the core and legs is required. Stability in the exercise chain consists of passive structures such as bones, tendons and menisci. On top of these passive structures, there are muscles that provide active stability.

Injury analysis

A successful rehabilitation starts right with a good beginning. This means that the diagnosis of the football injury must be made appropriately. A complete analysis with, if necessary, an additional examination of the injury is essential.

Many football injuries occur in tendons and muscles. Ultrasound is able to translate a clear view of soft tissue such as; muscles and tendons.  In addition, the advantage of ultrasound is that the examination can be performed dynamically which sometimes makes it easier to understand injuries.

Isokinetic strenght

The muscular strenght of the upper legs is essential for football players. Therefore, muscle strength is an important aspect in the analysis of injuries, but also in monitoring the rehabilitation. A strength analysis can be made through an advanced isokinetic power device. Here, the ratio between the quadriceps and hamstrings is important, but also the difference between the healthy leg and the injured leg.

Running technique analysis

Running technique has a lot of influence when it comes down to the load that is being put on the legs. Therefore, a good running technique can considerably reduce this load. With the help of an advanced camera setup, we are able to analyze the running technique from all perspectives.

You could say that maneuverability the basis is of tennis. The direction is constantly changed, started and stopped. Therefore, it is very important that these movements run as efficiently as possible.

Foot analysis

The feet are the base of our body. If a small deviation is present in the feet, the load that is put on each leg differs and can eventually lead to certain problems. If necessary, we can support the position and settlement of the feet by providing footwear advice or inlays.
